Themis Grants and Contracts

This module tracks information relating to a research grant or contract as it is entered (Submissions) negotiated (Proposals) and executed (Agreements).

Themis Submissions Self Service

The Submissions module replaces the paper based forms (such as University Application Lodgement Form) used to submit a work request to the Melbourne Research Office.

The following process may be used for research submissions (other than NHMRC/ARC grants and work submitted to the School of Enterprise).  Specialised processes have been determined for some faculties and/or departments so please check with your research administrator before proceeding with this Quick Reference Card:

The following example process flow diagram has been developed to assist in clarifying the steps that a department/faculty might take in using the Submissions module:

Themis Human Ethics

This module covers the whole life cycle of Human Ethics applications and also assists Human Ethics Advisory Groups (HEAG) in the administration of applications, meetings and reports. The system is able to generate emails and letters for HEAG administrators to forward to researchers and it will handle the Annual Reporting process on-line.

Themis Animal Ethics

The Themis Animal Ethics Module allows researchers and teaching staff to register, submit, manage, track and report on ethics applications involving research or teaching using animals from concept stage through approval to completion. The Animal Ethics application form is completely on-line and modular in design so researchers will only complete the sections relevant to them.  Variations to projects as well as annual and incident reports will also be created, tracked and completed on-line.
