Transactional training
These courses are designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to undertake specific transactions within the specified Themis module/s.
- Introduction to Themis Financials: teaches staff how to process financial transactions at the University (including: cash, cheque and credit card receipting and banking, petty cash reconciliation, student payments, employee expense claims, purchasing, Accounts Payable invoicing and internal transactions). Training provider: Enterprise Applications (Themis) Service Desk.
- Themis Cash Receipting: teaches staff how to receipt and bank money paid to the University. Staff will be given an overview of the Chart of Accounts and the GST before learning to receipt cash, money orders, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS payments. This course will also cover the end of day reconciliation procedure. Training provider: Enterprise Applications (Themis) Service Desk.
- Animal Ethics: step-by-step guide to the Themis Animal Ethics Online module incorporating technical, process and content requirements for submission and tracking of animal ethics applications. Grants and Contracts for Administrators (Part 1 - Submissions and Proposals): demonstrates the use of the Grants (Submissions and Proposals) modules in Themis and allows participants to practice using the system. It is recommended that this course be taken in conjunction with Themis Grants and Contracts for Administrators (Part 2 - Agreements). Training provider: Melbourne Research Office. Themis Timekeeper: teaches staff how to process casual pays, overtime, additional hours and staff allowances via the UOM Timekeeper responsibility. Training provider: Enterprise Applications (Themis) Service Desk.

Themis Training Administration (TTA): teaches University training providers how to administer training activities available via Themis Staff Self Service. The course includes creating training courses and offerings, administering enrolments, and running reports. Training provider: Documentation and Training Services.
- EHS Training: provides competency-based Environment Health and Safety (EHS) training courses, including Themis EHS requirements. Training provider: EHS Unit. Refer to the EHS Unit for further details on these courses.
